Stop Acting Out of Fear

Life gives form to itself, endlessly. It produces experiences, which appear as opposites: sunlight and darkness, cold and hot, up and down, birth and death.

Our human words for the experience of all life–spirit, Yahweh, God, Brahman, Tao, yin-yang, Christ, Chi–bring with them a silent, accepting understanding. As human beings, we are capable of complete understanding, which is peace.

By contrast, the words and thoughts of our American culture focus, especially in the media, on separation from good. Through our humanness, we are capable of imagining with unlimited creativity experiencing the absence of harmony and compassion.

Our essential human nature is love. Each of us is equipped, as well as challenged, with our senses. They help integrate our day-to-day experiences into the lives through which we have become. When we mis-take our human growth sensations, as separated from our true nature (loving-kindness), we create an ego environment that resists the entire universe and its purpose, which is to compassionately accept all experiences.

As part of an infinite unfolding, we experience love no matter what the circumstance. Each person, plant, or object is made up of the same energy. All things of substance–solid-looking objects—that we name take on a reality that we can experience in terms of separation.

Stories of injustice or difficulty can be shaped with assumptions of separation and disconnection. We love to look at the sky, ocean, and nature because of their absence of personal narrative. These things are observed as extensions of ourselves, leaving us feeling our unified, connected beings.

We were born without words. Through the concepts of right and wrong, we have learned separation rather than maintaining a sense of acceptance and loving-understanding. In our own thoughts, our marriages and families, we face the challenge of refusing to look at the fear of separation from a place of love.

In place of the addiction to American thinking and acting out our fear, we are being called to accept the fear and hate in others. The misuse of love is a call-to-action, an opportunity for expanding this awareness. We must embrace this if we are to maintain our humanity. Ultimately, we are here to remember our true nature, no matter what others believe, say or do.

Observing and acting without imposing fear-full distinctions is the recognition of always-present loving. Quietly returning to peace, experiencing true unity, transcends the imagined dread upon which Americans feed so compulsively.

You do not HAVE TO do anything when you imagine, hear, or remember, fearfully. Being human is the experience of potentially harmonizing each moment.
